Keelboat Racers Handbook

The former Sailors Handbook has been slimmed down into a Racers Handbook for use by the Keelboat Racing program. Other Sailing programs will be using website pages alone to provide information to members. The Racers Handbook includes the Racing Calendar, Notice of Race & Sailing Instructions and other appropriate supplementary content. The Sailing Instructions for keelboat racing at KYC have been updated to better align with the new Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024 and accommodate potential COVID-related constraints

Race Committee Duties

All keelboat racing crews at KYC are typically required to perform 2 volunteer race committee duties per season. The duties are posted online here. Where possible a printed copy of the duties will also be posted in the bulletin board inside the clubhouse or on south west window of the clubhouse. The online list of duties is the master copy.

Racers are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to guarantee their preferred dates. All requested assignments or swaps between racers shall be submitted by email to the Race/Event Office at race@kingstonyachtclub.ca.
