Board of Directors and Junior Sailing TGIF

January 20th beginning at 5:30pm
The Board of Directors invites members to celebrate our reopening at the first TGIF of the 2017 season.

We'll also welcome parents and sailors from Junior Sailing as they kick off the new year. It will be a great event for the whole sailing community! Come and celebrate!

Welcome Back!

The staff and management would like to welcome everyone back after a fantastic Christmas Break! Our kitchen and bar staff are now in normal operations and hope to see you soon! Although it is winter, the club still offers a great excuse to get away from it all! Or if you have a special occassion you may be celebrating! Our banquet hall is also available if you would like to bring in your company for an event (workshop, meeting space, party).

We would also like to remind everyone of a few upcoming events:
January 27th - TGIF Quiz Night
Beau's will be here for our Annual Febrewary tastings!
February 14th - Valentine's Day
February 18th - Cruisers Dinner
February 24th  - Woman in Wind TGIF
February 25th - French Dinner & Wine Pairing with Chef Neil
March 19th - Members Dinner and show with the Kingstown Player's

Please review our members calendar for a full listing of events!

| 2017 Program Dates are Set

As we prepare for 2017, we want to make sure our past sailors have a sneak peek at our schedule and save a spot before official registration opens in mid-January. We will notify you as soon as registration is officially open and give you two weeks from that time to confirm your spot and pay before we release the spot to others. Just one small thing we are doing this year to make sure it's the best summer yet!

And before you go, don't forget to save the date for some of our upcoming special events:

| PHRF-Lo Certificates

Attention: all PHRF I, PHRF II and New Member Racing Sailors

Time to renew your PHRF-LO Certificates for the 2017 Racing season.  If you had a valid PHRF-Lo certificate through KYC in 2016, and plan to race again in 2017, no action required.  We will automatically renew your certificate for 2017.  If you do not want that to happen, please contact Rob Colwell (robcolwell1098@gmail.com) or Ralph Shaw (ralph.shaw@outlook.com).  The cost for a PHRF-LO certificate is $35.00 and you will be billed in May.

If you are new to KYC, you must have a PHRF-LO certificate to race.  If you have a certificate at your old Club, we will arrange to renew it for 2017 through KYC.  If you do not have a certificate and wish to race in either the PHRF I or PHRF II fleets.

In either case, please contact Rob or Ralph to arrange to have your sails measured and to provide the necessary contact information.

If you are new to KYC, but do not plan to race your vessel, no action required.
If you own a Shark and plan to race only in the Shark fleet, no action required.
If you own a Shark and plan to participate in the KYC weekend races, you must have a valid PHRF-LO certificate.

Any questions, please contact Rob or Ralph (KYC PHRF-LO Handicappers)
