Come hear an example of how life is about living your dreams and triumphing over adversity! All attendees are donating to the KYC Learn to Sail Program, and once through the door become eligible to bid to learn from Diane onboard your boat this summer! (Note: if you don't have your own boat and really want to win this cool training opportunity.. we will work something out!).Proceeds are going to the purchase of new 420 sails for our race team.

New Age of Sail Gala - Thank You!
I would like to extend my thanks to everyone involved in making the New Age of Sail Gala Dinner and Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame induction such a complete success. It was a once in a lifetime event attended by the sailors and boat builders that put Canada on the map. I look forward to having KYC host the Hall of Fame events in the future! The exhibit is now open so please help support the Marine Museum and visit.

This TGIF will be a great opportunity for new members and ALTS students to get to know all the different aspects of the club.A 'meet and greet' style evening is planned with opportunities to tour and sail on some member boats and have any questions about your new Club answered.

Bicycles Needed
We're seeking two bicycles for our yard staff.
Having a couple of tough bikes around for our staff will speed their trips around the yard/breakwater and increase their efficiency.
preferred are:
- single speed with pedal brake
- small or medium size frame with high bars
- not in need of significant repair.
Donation preferred, but KYC will consider buying "cheap".

Racing Update
"On the Water" guarantee: just show up between 5:00 - 5:30 pm, put your name on "Seeking boat/crew" white board near the bar and we'll get you on a racing sailboat or (at the very least) the committee boat!

Environment Canada Presentation

The Royal Military College of Canada Yacht Club is hosting Mr. Serge Besner from Environment Canada who has managed the production of Wind, Weather & Waves: a Guide to Maritime Weather in the Great Lakes Region.
We are opening this presentation to all of the sailing/boating community in the Kingston area so feel free to distribute accordingly.

Recreational Vessel Courtesy Check
KPSS offers a annual, free check of safety equipment a boat must carry to ensure compliance with Transport Canada requirements.
The check requires a 30 minute visit to your boat by one of our trained specialists. If required equipment is onboard our specialist will issue a decal that can be displayed for the authorities to see your compliance easily.If you are interested in this check please send an email to kps.rvcc@gmail.com
