Club Racing 2013 Season Meeting

Robert Davis at ISAF Miami Olympic Classes Regatta
Robert Davis had his best finish ever at the World Cup Event in Miami last week.
The US Sailing Miami Olympic Classes Regatta came to a close on Saturday with Robert delivering his best International result ever.In a strong international fleet of 70 boats Robert posted 7 top ten finishes including a race win qualifying him for the medal Round and a final position of 7th overall
The result moves Robert up the World Ranking list to 28th overall and shows that his training this winter has made him one of Canada’s top Laser sailors

Calabogie Ski Trip
The cruising club has arranged a deal with Calabogie Ski Resort for a Hotel room and two lift tickets for Feb 25, 26 for $125.00.If you both ski you could ski either on the 25th or 26th, staying the night of the 25th. For those who would want to ski a second day, the lift tickets are $28 – $30 each.
For those who don't want to ski, there is skating, and a nice swimming pool.
Anyone who wants to go should call Calabogie 1-800-669-4861 and tell them you are with Kingston Yacht Club and want a room and tickets. Calabogie will set aside five rooms for us until Feb 15, after that there may or may not be space.
Calabogie is a two hour drive from Kingston.
You must reserve with Calabogie if you want a room.
Two Great Lakes Hit Lowest Level on Record
Two of the Great Lakes have hit their lowest water levels ever recorded, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said Tuesday, capping more than a decade of below-normal rain and snowfall and higher temperatures that boost evaporation. Read more.

The KYC Board of Directors has enacted two policies that impact member accounts including how accounts in arrears will be dealt with. These changes will go into effect March 1, 2013.
