| Ted's Trivia Night

Congratulations and a big thank you to all of the participants of KYC's annual trivia night! As advertised the evening proved to be entertaining, fun and informative. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and avoided the "somewhat humiliating for all but the winning contestants" part!

In the end the coveted "Ted's Trivia night" trophy was awarded to "The Main Flakes" (Bob, Tarja, Peter, Wilma, Chris and Linda) closely followed by both 2nd place Team Muskies (Ralph, Mary, David, Donna, Elonore and Kate) and 3rd place Team Signature (Rick and Laura).

Thank you everyone for attending!

| Beer of the Week

Dry Irish Stout

Stout 4.1% ABV

Beau’s Farm Table Series are sessionable beers brewed true to classic or emerging styles. Farm Table Dry Irish-style Stout is a toasty black ale with interwoven coffee and chocolate flavours, and the finish is quite dry with lingering roasted character.

History and Style

An Irish-style dry stout is a lower-alcohol black ale that often uses roasted barley and/or a combination of black malts to achieve both its depth of colour and its signature roasted aroma and flavour.

Tasting Notes

This nearly opaque black ale pours with a beige foam and displays some reddish undertones. The aromas suggest roasted coffee, dark toasted bread and malt. The flavour presents roasted malt, dark roast coffee and dark chocolate. The body is light to medium, and the finish is quite dry with lingering roasted character.
